Summer Here We Come!

So Spring decided to show us it's rainy side this year, but we are still holding out hope for a warm, dry Summer. Spring soccer was, in a sense, "washed away." Freddy had a total of one practice and Grant isn't get his weekly fix due to muddy fields.

The last week of school is upon us and the anticipation of Memorial Day weekend is growing as it is the official start to our Summer. Wawasee, here we come! The sailboat will be towed out of the garage for a season on the water. Bags will be packed and cars will be loaded with kids, movies, video games and lots of snacks.

I am just as excited as Grant that this is the last week of school. No more homework! Woo Hoo!! Yes, I am talking about Grant's third grade homework, which demands as much of our attention as it does his.

Who doesn't love some sunshine and warmth. Now, to find a swim suit.....eek. Probably the ONLY thing I don't like about Summer.

Summer at Wawasee

We are so blessed to be able to spend July at the lake. This year Grant started Junior Sailing at the Yacht Club and had a blast. His cousins joined him for a week of fun and learning the "ropes" of sailing.

Not only have we been sailing, but we have also officially named our sailboat, participated in slipping down the world's largest slip-and-slide, learned to ski and zip-sled and swim without a life jacket...sort of:)

More Fall 2007

OK, so I'm a little behind in my blogging, but who can blame a busy mom? (Except for Chantel, she's always on top of her blog:) Which, in fact, has inspired me to update mine. So, here are a few pictures from where I left off and hopefully we'll be completely updated by the end of the week.

Here's Freddy pushing his shopping cart outside, b/c who doesn't like to shop? We really love our binky too. If I could surgically attach it to him he would be a happy little boy.
